Bring a Bouquet for the Host

In the U.S. and elsewhere, it’s long been the custom to give a host gift to someone who is having you in their home. Even in these post-Emily Post days, this is a tradition we at Toblers Flowers would like to see continue, especially on Thanksgiving, when so many of us are traveling over hill and dale to break bread with friends and family. This year, while you’re putting together your stuffing or green bean casserole contribution, remember the s, too.

If you’re on board with the idea of a host gift, the question becomes what to bring? This is an area in which we feel qualified to help. If you don’t know your host’s preferences and tastes with regard to florals, we have some tips that can help you navigate through the many beautiful bouquets out there. First, give something modest in scale, and consider having it delivered the day before or the day after Thanksgiving. You don’t want to burden your host with the dilemma of where to display your s on the day of, and the more modest in scale, the more options they’ll have. If you’re going to hand deliver – always a sweet gesture – smaller is better. Take our Pitter-Patter for Fall for instance.

This cute bundle of buds is easily transportable. But even though its scale is diminutive, the lilies and roses make a big impact. This is the perfect expression of gratitude, and will blend right in with existing seasonal decor.

Don’t overlook the lovely tradition of offering your generous host s this Thanksgiving. They’ll be a reminder long past the holiday of your gratitude.
