This is made easier by the fact that International Floral Distributors released its annual trend report recently. It identifies four major approaches to floral design that IFD sees as the future of floral work. Basically, “Incarnation” is modern nature. It takes the instinct we already have, which is to bring natural elements into our home, and builds upon it. Instead of utilizing just s or just plants though, this trend brings in all manner of natural elements alongside them . . . everything from branches and pine cones to river rock and birds nests. An array of textures commingle here, but the color scheme stays rooted in that earthy, neutral range. Nature’s artistry itself is the focus, with unusual textures and shapes getting their day in the sun.
